In My Mailbox #4

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by The Story Siren to showcase books we acquired throughout the week. UPDATE: I reinstalled iMovie, so I was able to upload my vlog after all! So you can choose to watch it or read my commentary next to the book links (they're both basically the same thing)




Library Books:

• I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore - I totally want to read this before the movie comes out!!
• Hunger by Jackie Morse Kessler - saw this on Story Siren and was instantly interested. First in a series about the horsemen of the apocalypse.
• The Secret Year by Jennifer Hubbard - also saw this on several blogs.
• Firelight by Sophie Jordan - about a girl who can shape-shift into a dragon... I LOVE shifters!
• Rampant by Diana Peterfreund - killer unicorns! I love medieval fantasy books (think Tamora Pierce & Kristin Cashore... and after reading Peterfreund's short story in an anthology -see link below- I knew I had to read this -and most likely Ascendant as well- which they also had at the library when I went, but I was trying to reign in my out-of-control library binge.)
• other book of note: Kiss Me Deadly (contains Peterfreund's short story "Errant")
